How It Works
From report submission to verified findings and resolution — every step is evidence-based, with AI assisting and humans deciding.
The Process
1. Submit a Report
Registered users submit reports about parishes that may not conform to Canon Law or the Catechism. Reports include the incident details, a category (Liturgy, Doctrine, Discipline, or Other), and a severity level with supporting evidence.
2. AI Screening
Each report is screened by AI, which organizes the claim against Canon Law and the Catechism and flags it for review. AI screening helps verifiers prioritize — but it can never, by itself, convict a parish or change a score.
3. Human Verification
Independent, identity-verified human verifiers — who never review their own reports — approve or reject findings against the evidence. AI and human disagreements are routed to a deeper secondary review.
4. Verified Finding
Only after a human verifier confirms it against Canons and Catechism citations does a report become a published Verified Finding that affects a parish's record.
5. Parish Response
A parish and its diocese are invited to view, respond to, and contest any verified finding — so claims are answered, not merely displayed.
6. Correction
A parish may demonstrate a correction with evidence and authoritative citations. Staff verifiers review whether the issue has genuinely been addressed.
7. Resolution
Verified corrections resolve a finding, and the parish's record reflects it. Nothing is marked resolved without evidence that the situation has been addressed.
Why does AI not decide? A verified finding must be confirmed against Canon Law and the Catechism by a human verifier. AI screening organizes and prioritizes claims; it never on its own creates a verified violation or changes a parish's status.
Scoring Matrix
Parish scores start at 100 and decrease based on the severity of verified incidents:

Score Labels
A parish with no verified findings is simply shown as NOT YET VERIFIED — it is not assigned a score or label until evidence is confirmed.
User Verification
To maintain platform integrity, users who verify findings must prove who they are:
- Upload a government ID and selfie for AI verification
- Verify 3 other reports to earn "Good Faith" status
- Maintain a clean record with no misconduct flags
Reporting Users
If a user violates our Code of Conduct, other users can report them. Reports are reviewed by administrators, and users with multiple violations may be suspended or banned from the platform.
