Our Mission

A labor of love for the protection and flourishing of Holy Mother Church

How It Began

The founder of Worship Narc is a lifelong Catholic, devout and practicing all his life. The inception of this project comes from witnessing many abuses—liturgical and otherwise—within Mother Church.

From irreverent liturgies that stray from the rubrics, to doctrinal confusion spread from the pulpit, to disciplinary failures that allow harm to continue—these wounds in the Body of Christ demanded a response.

After much prayer and deliberation before the Blessed Sacrament, the founder decided that a project like this was necessary. Not to attack the Church he loves so deeply, but to help in his own way, through his expertise in technology and digital applications.

Our Purpose

Worship Narc exists to serve as a resource for the faithful—helping Catholics find parishes where the Faith is practiced with reverence and fidelity, and providing a mechanism for documenting concerns when abuses occur.

We believe in the power of transparency and accountability. When parishes know that their practices are visible to the broader Catholic community, it encourages adherence to the Church's teachings and liturgical norms.

Our goal is to partner with the Vatican, dioceses, pastors, and parishioners to remove those who would harm the Church, and uplift those who help the Church flourish.

Fair & Rigorous Process

Every report submitted to Worship Narc undergoes a multi-step verification process. We use artificial intelligence trained on the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the 1983 Code of Canon Law to provide initial analysis.

Human verifiers—faithful Catholics who understand Church teaching—then review each report before it affects a parish's score. This dual-layer approach ensures accuracy and prevents abuse of the system.

We categorize concerns by type (liturgical, doctrinal, disciplinary) and severity, creating a nuanced picture rather than a simplistic judgment. Our scoring system reflects verified incidents weighted by their seriousness according to Church teaching.

Grounded in Tradition

All evaluations are grounded in official Church documents:

  • The Catechism of the Catholic Church
  • The 1983 Code of Canon Law
  • General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM)
  • Redemptionis Sacramentum and other liturgical instructions
  • Papal encyclicals and apostolic exhortations

We do not impose personal opinions or preferences. The standard is what the Church herself teaches and prescribes.

A Community Effort

Worship Narc is built by and for the Catholic faithful. Our reporters are everyday Catholics who want to see the Church thrive. Our verifiers are knowledgeable in Church teaching and committed to fairness.

We welcome all Catholics who share our love for the Church and desire to see her teachings upheld with integrity. Whether you're looking for a faithful parish in a new city, or want to contribute by submitting reports or serving as a verifier, there's a place for you here.
